I'm not sure why people talk about "black on black" killings as if it is a pathology unique to one particular race. A cursory glance of history will tell us that is not the case.

We are human beings, and as humans, we are capable of doing some really sh**** stuff to each other.

Crime, sadly, is a reality in any society, be it on a local, regional, or national level, and logically, it is not surprising that where there's a concentration of any one race, the majority of the crimes committed by people in that race will be against their own.

For this reason, the majority of whites in America are killed by whites and the majority of blacks are killed by blacks.

It is a false equivalency, (and the numerical difference is unimportant given the narrative that some are trying to spin), to compare the killings committed by ordinary citizens against each other, irrespective of race, with the suspect killings of citizens by law enforcement, who are sworn to uphold the law, and possess state sanctioned power to detain, arrest and take one's life if deemed necessary.

Life is sacred. The authority and power to take it is a tremendous responsibility that must not be abused or taken lightly, and citizens have the right to demand that those who abuse or misuse this power be held accountable.

The idea therefore, that some are opposed to others speaking out and protesting against this problem is a real head scratcher for me.
