Not to mention......for every ONE “great story”, there are dozens of tragic disasters that get written off as “part of the job”. Telling somebody the loss of their livelihood is an opportunity for growth is offensive. Don’t worry, I turn in my badge 30 Oct. Bloom where you’re planted. Still happier than every day I was on Active Duty. And since you boo birds will say “oh you have the Guard/Reserves to fall back on!” my opportunities are both inside and outside aviation and involve zero Air Force.
