In all seriousness..what do you think the numbers are though? Flying is down over 50%..that is undisputed...so a furlough..since Mesa is always short staffed..at least on crj side..would be some number just under that plus some to avoid retraining costs etc right?
Here’s why the numbers don’t make sense. Market share.
JO is definitely betting one or two more companies go down. He wants to have pilots available immediately to be able to pick up a contract for long term flying. If he gets the place to pre covid reserve numbers he won’t be able to do that. This is where the new Mesa financed ejets come in, or our 700s that are owned outright. I don’t know the status of the new ejets, and it will be interesting to see what goes down the next few
I’m on the chopping block, I’d rather get chopped than sit reserve for the next six months.
