IMO,
When we were 60/40 145/175 fleet, I think the company put all extra pilots on the 145 (via new hires). We're on the way to 60/40 175/145 and I think the new plan is all extra pilots on the 175 going forward. Expect a deep reserve list on the 175 even when things recover.
