Have fun commuting to reserve when JO furloughs in January on 68 min credit.
Furloughs are coming if flying doesn't increase dramatically.
Be sure about that!!!
Be prepared for a second (third) COVID wave to hit once winter comes around. Combined with the flu season.
And then, news come out that a vaccine is only 25% effective, if there is even a vaccine?
Good luck with that.
Have fun on reserve on 68 hours credit. Heck, I'm sure they'd lower it to 50 hours. You voted it in, you deal with it. No more pilot's interactions needed. That's exactly what it says on the conference call email FAQ's. FACT!!!
However, the Company may decide to furlough or ask to extend this MOU in January, depending on market conditions. Extension of the MOU requires MEC approval, who could elect to resend it out for another vote.
That email also shows conflicting language:
- Furlough numbers aren't known, but
up to 490
- 490 pilots
will be furloughed if this MOU doesn't pass
Which one is it? Up to or exactly 490 pilots?
