When you specifically mention christian values, it’s to the express exclusion of other commonly practiced and accepted religions in America. Islam, Hindu, Buddhism, Judaism, for instance. Atheists make a very compelling argument that you don’t need a religion to be a good person. That’s not triggering, but perhaps your statement about values being exclusively christian says more than you meant it to.
Also I agree the discussion about the BLM pin should be at least related to why it exists and abuses by the state under the color of law, not religious value systems.
The abuses under color of law are so minuscule in todays world that it turns many people off the moment you even mention it that way. The majority of the celebrated cases turn out to have been proper actions by the police that had the activists/Marxists waited for the facts, we wouldn't have had 95% of these riots.
Further, If I have to give the the benefit of the doubt to one side or the other; I'm going to give it to the officer and not try to second guess for days and weeks a decision he/she had to make in microseconds, in the heat of sudden battle, with fear driven adrenalin pushing them to save their own life, or to prevent the escape of a person who poses a threat to others if not stopped immediately.
The real solution is to fight the police in court, not out on the street. When people learn that one one simple fact, these types of incidents will stop. Fight for change in the voting booth; not in the looted gutted out, burned out building left by a mob.
