So we're basically gambling on the company's bluff or an extension of the CARES Act or we are going to be the only airline furloughing. A reduction in pay and still getting benefits is better than no pay at all. Anyone on the furlough list who argues they would rather take one for the team and hold the line is a fool. A reduction in guarantee and voluntary leaves like what United negotiated is all we need. But this union isn't serious about negotiations because they don't care about the junior pilots. That's not where their money comes from. They hide behind unity. The industry is in trouble and this isn't just a threat from management.
