Doesn't matter much either way, as long as it's not specific domestic livestock which could serve as a very large reservoir and steady-state or cyclical conduit, like with the flu. Also, unlike flu, the perception that covid is dangerous would drive the pro-active destruction of livestock in the event of an outbreak.
Doesn't matter much if you give it to your pet, as long as you know to quarantine Fido too.
