Worse than that. All those roads along the Grand Canyon. Fortunate the Canyon just missed those roads. And look at all those turnouts, how close they came.

Seriously, when I was in college I vacationed at the Grand Canyon. Bus Driver/Tour Guide was telling everyone about the history, as they were eating lunch. I tagged on at the end, “The one thing he forgot to tell you. The folks back in Washington made a serious mistake. They gave this to the wrong agency. They gave it to the Department of the Interior. See, if they had given it to the Department of Agriculture, this bad erosion problem would have never happened.”🤪
