For those of you who will be displaced from DFW to IAD because of this I suggest you look at the schedules between the two. Earliest AA arrival in IAD is at 3:04pm, nothing earlier on AA. The earliest UA arrival on that route is at 7:55pm for a direct and 11:04am if you two leg it through IAH. In other words you are going to be commuting in the day before, AA departures are at 9:10am and 3:04pm the sole UA departure is at 12:35pm on an RJ. ALL Current IAD trips are starting between 9:45-10:10am and ending 4:28-5:05pm. In other words you 100% WILL be commuting in the day before for every single trip without question. And you 100% WILL be commuting home the day after your trip without question. Your 4 day trips in IAD WILL be 6 day trips if you live in DFW, without exception. Keep that in mind when you vote, IAD isn’t even remotely close to commutable unless you live in the NE corridor.
This is NOT negotiable, if you live in DFW you will be spending two extra days on the road and two less days at home for every. Single. Trip. If you are so unlucky as to be living in PHX the news is even worse for you.
