Break the cycle
The company is going to do what they want to do. They always have, they always will. They said they are going to shrink the airline. That's the plan. When they realized they couldn't keep up with the training for their plan they came to to pilot group asking for help in the form of VEOP. Junior guys thought VEOP's were saving furlough's, they were not. The purpose was to relieve stress on all the training needed to do their furloughs.

ALPA doesn't furlough! The company furloughs. The only effective way ALPA can mitigate furloughs is to make it as expensive as possible for the company to furlough. This TA makes it cheaper for them to furlough. If the company negotiated cheaper furloughs it because they are still planning to furlough. Taking concessions to "try" and prevent furlough's isn't breaking the cycle. Breaking the cycle would be if we stopped letting management outsmart us."

TA Discussion

8 hour credit reduction will make it cheaper for Mesa to furlough come January, think about it!

68 hour credit will remain for the foreseeable future for the remaining pilots on property.

Not only that, but recalled pilots will came back to the new normal, 68 hours.

Stop letting management outsmarts us.

Vote NO!!!
What on earth are you even talking about? How on earth would that LOA make it cheaper for the company to furlough? Explain.

You’re insane. It’s a temporary LOA that only lasts 3 months and requires the approval of BOTH the company and the MEC to be extended. You’re so full of BS.

Honestly, get some help. You’ve actually lost your mind.
