You could make $100K as a regional captain, or you could make $100K as a junior FO at a major. Once you're at that major, you can remain an FO on a junior fleet and build up your relative seniority quickly. It's a more secure route.
Or you could make 180-200K a a regional captain... and who knows what the Majors will may when they start hiring..With the possibility of reduced line values ect. Could take 5+ years to get back to making your Regional captain pay. And another 5 years to dig out of the hole from the first 5 years..
for under 40. I would totally do it. Over 50 not likely...
