The company is a business, per the agreement signed they elected not to offer them as they felt in the end it would cost them more money in other areas. Their success in those areas was outstanding given the crises so hard to fault the results.
The bus was the antagonistic communications about how all employee groups had made sacrifices and they were waiting on the pilot group to step up as well. They left out the fact that the April rebid already saved them money and SILs were another cost saver. Their handling of communications after the SILs cost a lot of pilot goodwill and also probably a lot of negotiating power.
