I'll protect the junior pilots from what I perceive as a "B" scale, even though the hard fought pay rate remains intact. They will be furloughed but at least I can rest at night knowing they won't be subject to working less while still earning something near $7,000 per month. After a good furlough, they will come back someday and thank me for helping them understand the expectations of a good airline career. I know how difficult it must be, I almost got furloughed once. I haven't got that many years left, but until then I'm going to work as many days as I can til my last day.
Thanks for the levity. Not enough of that on here. I’m more fearful that someone is going to blow their aorta banging on their computer here than any of this.
