If you’re talking about the company’s proposal to save all furloughs then I’m inclined to agree. With 90% of those polled saying “no concessions”, it would have to be a great deal to even make it to MEMRAT, let alone pass. I’m doubtful that proposal will even make it to MEMRAT. I hope I’m wrong.
The survey is pretty flawed in my opinion. Full disclosure I did not get the chance to take it but my understanding was the question simply asked if they supported a ALV cut which 90% said no.

If there is a TA that comes out, it would have to come out with some type of contractual gains. Now send that out to a vote and I bet a lot of those same people saying no to a temporary ALV cut will think twice and see if the gains the union was able to achieve is worth a small ALV cut and I suspect a lot of people would start to rethink their choice of voting no. I believe at the end of the survey it asks for comments and we can't see those and how do we know 80% of people said, well if you decide to go down the path to negotiate a temporary ALV cut I would like to see X item changed in our contract.

I think we need to let the union do their job negotiate a deal and see what we can get out of it as well and send it to a vote. If it fails well then it fails and we furlough Nov 1st, if not we may get some nice QOL improvements when flying starts to pick back up and flying starts to return to normal.
