I feel insanely fortunate that I was on property. I believe we were one of the last classes to start before training ended, so I have a seniority number, am getting paid a little, and still am collecting benefits and tuition reimbursement. My wife and I had discussed delaying my start date because we have a baby...very glad I went with the first class available.

I’m also working the graveyard shift at a warehouse right now to pay the bills, couldn’t find a CFI gig in the meantime, at least not yet. So I’ve certainly been hit hard, but trying to keep things in perspective.
