Yes. They will.
ESPECIALLY if this TA fails....because now the furloughees have been demonized for trying to be “parasites”, so screw ‘em. Rationalization is a STRONG influence on behavior. Admittedly, that is true on both sides of this discussion, but I still believe there will be plenty who pick up as much as possible. It’ll just be easier to “justify” it because of how angry the TA has made some people.
