There are 30 reserves in ORD this month alone, the company min. is 8. Reserve pilots usually have a half decent first month after training (for the consolidation requirement) and then sit around trying to figure out how to convince screw scheduling to let you sit in a domicile closer to your home. Reserve is the pits, but it makes life good for the lineholders. Its a right of passage, and we all get to do it.
