I am sure you are right that the Q400 is larger, but it just seemed smaller to me when I got in there 13 hours after being in the CRJ. My CFI always said I could not estimate distance and size very well. He would tell me to climb to 2000 feet and I'd go to 800 and think I was so clever.
My point in posting is to relate my positive experience on a regional. The board is full of negative commentary about the state of regional airlines, low pay and 250 hour wonders, and I thought I had something contrarian. I did not see the flight crew, but I did not feel unsafe in their hands. We departed on time and got to the destination early. What more could I ask for?
And to DMEarc, sigh, yes I am a woman. I have 1900 posts on here and I must have mentioned a couple of times that I'm female. Believe it or not, there are quite a few of us here.
