Also, you’re saying that American says they’ll pay us, for simplicity’s sake, $100 to fly our plane and oh by the way you can only pay your guys $x. That makes no sense. As long as the company agrees to the $100 what do they give a crap if the company is paying $y.
Also, it looks like the union did want the decrease. They voted for it.
American and united paid for the increased salaries back when we got the new contract. American wouldn't chip in if we paid more than their regionals (since then, they've gotten raises). If there were any negotiators still working here from that contact, I'd have you ask them.
I didn't vote for it, I just have to accept the outcome, just like every other union member that voted no.
