Florida is a big destination, especially winter time. Gov DeSantis announced on Friday, 25 Sept, EO 20-244. This EO essentially opens the state back up again. Removes penalties for no mask wear and allows all restaurants, bars, theme parks etc to operate at 100% capacity - if they so chose. Businesses can still mandate mask wear if they so decide, just like they can with shirts and shoes for service. Nothing changes there. Local governments can not shut them down without justification (a laborious process now) and approval. The congressman I consult for as well as several more have been pushing this for about 2 months now. The congressmen/women hear from their constituents and the people want their state opened up. So DeSantis did with this EO.
At least it is a move in the right direction. The question is: are the people ready yet? "If we build it, will they come" is kind of where we are at right now IMHO.

He can do whatever he wants. It doesn’t mean people will come flooding back. Disney can’t even fill the limited capacity they are operating the parks at. I was just there for 6 days, it’s still a ghost town with the majority of the resorts closed.
