Keep in mind that any time you are flying with a student under the hood, even a pre-solo student pilot, you should be logging simulated instrument instruction for both of you.
You can only log simulated instrument if you’re under the foggles. If your student is under the foggles, then you’re NOT logging simulated. If the aircraft is in IMC, both student and CFII log IMC.
