That same logic could be extended to "respect the seniority system....and those senior to you." Why? They have already paid their dues, and have actually paved the way for you to be here, and for you to work under working conditions far better than they had.

In reality, without the hard work of the senior third, the bottom third's life would truly suck. Everything the bottom third has, had, or will have now in and in the future is the result of your benefactors. Paying dues was the easy part. We had to show up and get it done. You're welcome. I take exception to "I went through the same stuff that you did." I really RESPECTFULLY disagree. This has been a nutt-cutting, and ball busting career.

The only pilots that have had it easy for every phase of their career have been the scabs.
Respect is earned not awarded with age or seniority. Tolerance and remaining professional with certain elder, senior, or any other number of folks that crave recognition is what you’re talking about. The ability to tolerate a person’s insane rhetoric and constant invented grievances to help rationalize why their life/situation/personal finances aren’t where they wanted them is a hallmark skill of anyone that’s been in this for long.

Anyway, we can put this behind us soon. The War on Christmas chat is nearly here! Who’s excited??
