I’m not saying Gary has not pulled some whoppers, but to stand and publicly (on camera in front of the entire company and county) and say no layoffs in 2021 if we get “X” then I believe he will honor it.
And he can hide behind “exigent circumstances” like all of his counterparts did who took the unions to the cleaners in the early 2000’s “to avoid bankruptcy and save the A-plan” only to take them through the cleaners again but this time in bankruptcy court.
I trust Gary to be the predatory cutthroat CEO and I cheer him on when he’s being predatory and cutthroat against our competitors. I also know he’s a predatory cutthroat CEO who wouldn’t be doing his job if he didn’t try to extract the absolute lowest labor costs. Sorry Gary! I’ll be waiting for my WARN notice around November 1
