The credit union knows they're about to lose a bunch of members and want to expand their rolls with potential members who aren't likely to lose their jobs shortly. Makes sense to me.
Once you're a member you and your dependents are members for life. They won't be losing anybody.
That said, my low life yellow self has been with them for several years. It's a great CU with good rates and ATM's almost everywhere we fly.
They're also not affiliated with AA financially.
