Conglomeration is the future of DAL and that will drive cost expectations and PWA gains (or lack of) as we become the expensive division of Delta's Air Line(s). There have been several posters on this forum that were saying it months ago, to include yourself. The plan has always been to shrink us down. The original timeline was longer, C-19 just gave them the free pass to execute on a reduced timeline. They are taking full advantage of this situation. Noting we can do to save jobs, or stop it.
Managements long term goal has been a smaller US component of the airline. Our labor is too much cost to them. In order to maintain the profit machine, they charted a course that would marginalize the US component and buttress the foreign component (e.g. cheaper labor). Enter the JVs and outsourcing our flying. We can't concede to this group. Our scope is our kryptonite against them.
