When people with time and resources choose not to travel the airlines are not going to recover.
I understand your reasoning and if you are in a higher risk group then you should limit your interactions.
The recovery is already in progress. Over one million passengers on Sunday and a nice uptrend. Holidays will probably bring 1.2 to 1.3 million and next summer will likely be between 1.5 and 2 million. Once international returns we will be back on historic trend and passenger numbers will eventually be higher than the previous records from 2019.
It is important to remember that your situation is yours alone. There are many people in a similar situation that do not make the same choices.
