Do you think Amazon execs are saying "Those guys at Walmart are just corporate types like us, just trying to make a living. Let's take it easy on them." Call me selfish, but at the end of the day, I care about my job more than I care about yours or anyone elses, and if anyone says anything other than that, they're lying.
So like stated above, sorry SWA didn't call you, and good luck with your approaches.
Sorry to bruise your ego, but not everyone wanted to work for Southwest, especially in the 1990's when I was new like you. I never applied but I'm sure I'd be a senior 737 Captain by now (30 years). The arrogance usually comes from the new and over exuberant. Those of us who have been around a long time know rough times can hit everyone. This pandemic proves no one is immune. Good luck with your juniority.
