You guys are acting like clowns. First of all, this was very few pilots first choice prior to 2001 if for no other reason than it was PFT. Nobody hands over $8000 for a type rating if Delta is knocking on their door.
By sheer luck and the grace of the gods of aviation misfortune they did well. That's terrific. Their lucky gamble turned this into the place to be after 9/11
So here we are. It's not better than any of the other places that I've worked (other than I'm still employed for the moment). It's just another airline. So let's get off the high horse and stop the "my Dad can beat up your Dad" BS.
Everybody is trying to make a living. There will be winners, and there will be losers. But no pilot will make a difference in which side you're on. This job is the ULTIMATE participation trophy.
