I realize this situation is all a matter of perspective, and we all fight from our own foxholes. But, and very BIG but... I already agreed to a 40% paycut from a job I loved (SWA FO) and continued a part time job that I could've retired from, to make ends meet in the mean time.... FOR my union brothers and sisters; and my company.
This part time gig is
not fun. And it has the potential to carry me away for long stints from the 'little one' at home that I care for most. After 5 Long trips to sh!t-stanigan and other parts unknown I thought I was safe. Not so much anymore...
So, yeah... NO.
My Foxtrot's Given are zero after reading the 'We Over-hired, F the junior nuggets' or 'We need to worry about the other work groups view of us' arguments. Done. Over it. Period. Furlough me or not. When I come back for Re-Qual, I want the contract we had when I showed up. That's the agreement I made when I accepted employment at a company I loved. And the reason I chose this one over the other airline that hired me. Nothing LESS.
