as far as off-line guys go, the pin doesn’t mean the same thing at other airlines. It would be ridiculous for us to expect them to adhere to our specific culture. But if you are at United, you absolutely know what the pin means. So whether you are choosing not to wear it, or are not a member in good standing, you know full well what it communicates to other UAL pilots.
Here’s your chance...pontificate. I know you love to. Please, tell me what this ALPA pin represents. But before you pound out a missive or sermon on the merits of a union and solidarity consider the audience that was cast to to wolves by their very own union.
