Keep in mind, the company is constantly undermining the Negotiating Committee as a couple well fed union slobs who dont represent the desires of the pilots, and that pilots (all employees) are much more reasonable than those "out of touch" negotiators.

That's why the company starts negotiating in public. This supposed wide majority of reasonable pilots will put pressure on the MEC and show the reps union they're out of touch.

There is a natural drive to please the guy signing your checks (management/company), which is why real unions negotiate for you, and then pay you as their employee. Pilots dont embrace that level of unionism.

Management had a little problem with violating our trust. They have an unrealistic expectation for us to go out on unemployment like the FAs. They probably STILL don't understand what our problem is, and why we won't "get onboard for the team win, soldier".

Either way, the company has a lot of costs they need to manage, we can help and they can share savings with us, or we can make them bleed for it. Teamwork is what makes the dream work
