Nothing so drastic. It would be done much the way that the states and local governments do it now, put the mandate in place and police have the authority to issue civil infractions if necessary. The mask mandate isn’t about forcing people to wear masks, it’s more about giving support to businesses, schools or any area where people congregate if those places want to require masks. There will still be many people who don’t wear the masks because they think it’s all fake, or they think they’re bulletproof, or they think it is a violation of their civil liberties, and that’s fine, but when businesses and schools are able to bar them from entry with the backing of an executive order, then it will hopefully keep more people safe.
