Just so there’s no confusion on protections, we had guys with over 20 sick calls on probation. Now back when I was hired (2006ish) nobody would call in sick on probation at ANY carrier without a doctors note. I had friends miss my wedding because of this. I’m not sure what happened to 1974 but I have to tell you I’m pretty sure they hosed himself/herself.
Pretty sure on what basis, sick calls? Or could it be you have a POS as a chief pilot, a base CP who is basically just a young little boy figurehead, and a union who basically did jack.
Just look at the way the contract is written, one year or first PC whichever comes LATER.
Don't assume things based on what happened to guys that had a lot of sick calls.
