From everything I've heard that sounds like the best thing to do. Just try to get a class date before they phase it out (which I hope they won't, since I think it's presence stabilizes ASA's contract with Delta (i.e. Delta can do those routes for cheaper with oil north of $80/barrel than they can with 50 seaters)).
