Depends on your market. There are plenty of successful Youtubers in their forties and fifties. Many Youtube providers are teaching a skill or reporting news or similar and don't have to be young or attractive to give good value to the viewer.
I think Tic Tok is the home of the young and stupid these days. Youtube is so 2010.
I would agree. In fact, most of the YouTube personalities I watch are my age or older, granted this will depend largely on what your interests are.
