Besides, NWA's business is not trending in the right directions. Has anyone considered that this merger could be VERY BAD for Delta's future?

Northwest had a 12% profit margin in the third quarter, which was almost double the next closest airline. They essentially broke even last quarter, which is always a slow quarter, even with 100 dollar oil. Yeah, we're not growing much, if any, but those numbers don't support your statement.
