Doc said it "was something viral". 3 days later no fever feeling better. No other symptoms. Another negative CV test before I went back to work (just wanted to make sure).
Dude, your body did what it was supposed to do.
Masks don't work, the protocols are basically eyewash for the masses. As evidence of us still catching the bug (or at least testing positive for it).
Your immune system, as a normal healthy person, is perfectly capable of handling 99.9% of viruses and bacteria.
It depends on what you mean by "masks don't work". They probably won't prevent you from breathing in a virus in close contact with someone, so in that sense yes, they don't work. However studies do show they will reduce the amount (and distance) of potential virus-laden vapor flowing around your nose and mouth. That's just common sense.
So how much is just "optics" or "eyewash"? Doesn't matter. It's better than nothing and if if makes people feel more safe so that they come fly with us, then it has achieved a purpose.
Even after the vaccine is widely available, mask and distancing protocols with probably be around for a couple of years. Not everyone will be willing to get vaccinated. So just get used to it.
