There needs to be, at bare minimum, a 50% override on trips that deal with these conditions. Essentially, all international trips until this nonsense abates.
I think we are a day late and a dollar short. The union and company came to an agreement which gave us pennies on the dollar for our efforts. Deviation bank changes, rental car allowance (on deviations), some extra money as hardship for layovers in certain asian cites, all small change relative to what you suggest.
Even if we all got 150% or 200% for putting up with the BS that China is pumping out, I feel we are just selling out our grievances for a bigger W2. I get it,
it is the Fedex way. Just give me more money and I'll put on the hazmat suit or even a clown costume, if that's what they want, as long as we get the $$$$$$$$$. Sadly, it doesn't take that much $$$ to get many to do it.
