I had the same problem landing sideways in my initial CFI training. All I did was have the instructor do a normal landing with me in the right seat so I could get the visual cues and see what a proper landing looked like from the right seat... after I had seen a proper landing from the different viewpoint everything cleaned up pretty easily after that.
