In the US the president isn’t omnipotent, he can use the bully pulpit to make suggestions, but the action comes from the state level. Trump initially closed the borders and was attacked as being a racist, when he didn’t go further, he was attacked for being complacent. The misinformation, conspiracy theories, entitlement, and stupidity that you mention are rampant on both sides. Trump haters are still digging deeper to find a Russian connection, while ignoring stories about Hunter Biden corruption and Cuomo sexual harassment complaints. Trump supporters are trying to show that the election was rigged and that Biden didn’t simply win key states by a close margin, just as Trump did in 2016, while covering up his own scandals with a former porn star or disrespectful comments about grabbing women.

I’m the farthest thing from a Trump supporter, I’m embarrassed by much of what he says, but what could he have really done? Other countries had very strict lockdowns, closed borders, mask mandates, etc, and still they got hammered. Given how our country was founded and operates, your job security would be in the same place under any administration. When a global pandemic guts the worldwide demand for a service, those employed to provide that service are going to face negative consequences. Being that this has nothing to do with Air Wisconsin open time, perhaps we should take this to the COVID thread if you have more to say.
