If they’ve managed to keep the company staffed since October (with the reduced flying) and managed their financials without any assistance from the government, then they can certainly hack this out for another 3-4 months.

Right but, again, the money would also reduce their current payroll significantly. It covers the 400-some pilots who are working right now. Why would it not be in their short term interest to just put the furloughees on some kind of paid leave?
