OK, where to start with this one? All UAL flying? Hardly. AWAC had been doing most of those routes, at least out of ORD, since before UAL bought them (in 1993) to get the ROUTES and the LANDING SLOTS at ORD. And was doing that flying under our OWN TICKET STOCK AND RESERVATIONS, not UAL's.
Regardless of how Air Wisc got their start, none of the flying they were doing prior to doing business with US was on their on nickel with their own branded flying. They had replaced UA mainline on many routes and were flying exclusively as a UAX carrier. That said, they did get screwed by United with the 1993 transaction you mention.
