Quote: Currently all our aircraft are "accounted for." Meaning we, at least theoretically, have flying to cover all our aircraft, once the NE opens back up. That's the major caveat. In the interim, things may shrink some until that occurs, but we're the only AA carrier in NYC.

It's important to note that, at least on the AA side, we've just received 28 airplanes (22 from our Delta certificate and 6 new ones originally destined for Envoy). This doesn't entirely mesh with losing a base, but as stated above, flying is on contract, not bases. It should be somewhat indicative of our standing with AA, probably more so than a base opening/closing.

At least for now, the flying just appears to be shuffled around.

just a quick correction, 16 planes going to AA from Delta and 6 new 175’s that were slated for Envoy but we have bought off of AA for a total of 22 aircraft, not 28.
