In the email that went out it stated the hiring was due to working with AA to identify flying for this year plus the attrition after recalls . I'm sure if the attrition numbers let PSA keep money they would have otherwise paid in payroll they would've gladly done that. Why AA picked PSA and not Piedmont or Envoy remains the mystery.
We’ve gotten a similar email saying we are almost at pre COVID block hours for March. That’s why PDT did not want to furlough. Put themselves in a position to pick up flying because of how spontaneous the schedule is. Maybe that’s what PSA is doing.
