You all can bicker about the true number of daily vaccinations and get into a left/right political argument all you want, but you do realize none of that matters if these restrictions remain in place, right? Vaccination numbers are irrelevant while travel restrictions are in place.
Business travel isn't going to come back quickly, and people don't want to spend on leisure travel if there are too many uncertainties or too few options. Taking a Covid test to go to Hawaii or Aruba is too much of a barrier for some people. Now you have to take one to get on a flight back home, and if you test positive... then what?
Travel ban is now back in place for non US citizens coming from 26 European countries. As a US citizen if you test positive you’re stuck outside the country. So you’re in Aruba and you spend what...another 2-3 grand to quarantine in your room for 2 weeks? What if one member of family is positive but others are not? Too many variables for the average Joe. I think this sends International travel to a screeching stop.
