I read an article that they saved somewhere around 80k a year from not serving cocktail picks anymore and 290,000 from using lighter weight paper on board, thus reducing costs on fuel. I’m sure lots of little things like that add up.
I remember press releases from last time the airlines were preparing for BK saying they'd save over $1Million a year in fuel/ weight savings by getting rid of newspapers and magazines on the planes......
