FWIW looking at the age of NJ pilots, things may start to move before too long. In the next few years roughly 20% of the seniority list will be at or above 65 and in the next 10 years it will be close to half the list. Granted we don't have a retirement age, but nature gets to us all. Based on my unofficial observation, the pilots here already above 70 seem to be on the fly until you die or lose a medical track, whereas the the ones in their mid 40's-50's seem to be targeting a date or 401k number. If the company goes through with their planned aircraft additions it may speed things up on the hiring side. But like others said, keep your options open. Most NJ pilots never planned to be here or to be here for long.
