Let’s say we do 1000 departures per day (Airbus, 150 seats) out of said ( hypothetical) Focus City to another Focus City (or the Old Caribe). Post LOA, American is doing 35% with a similar size (737 or 320) or 350 departures. If they opt to use a 76 seat RJ then it’s 700 departures vs our 650 since the percentages are based on ASMs. It will take take a lot of demand to claw our way back to 1000, especially since we’re only getting 65% of that new demand.

Jetblue and shareholders are happy since we’re getting revenue from that 35% of the flying that American is doing without any cost. American is happy with planes flying and access to our network. Our careers stagnate or if we grow, we do it by adding service to Peoria.

Worst case, maybe, but if American isn’t really going to take the full 35% then amend the LOA to reflect a more realistic number.

All this for a 2% COLA raise? One time?

...and nothing against Peoria. They have an awesome Applebees there.
Can someone tell me how a 65% floor isn't the same as effectively allowing a 35% furlough of B6 pilots?
