Shouldn’t the person starting the engine not be taxiing? Seems like a crew issue rather than a problem single engine taxiing. I was LGA based for years and always briefed engine start plans whether left or right seat. If folks have an issue managing an engine start, they might not be cut out for turbine aircraft flying.
